Alejandro Barron

About the artist

The human figure, portraiture, eroticism, and still life are recurring themes in his work, which he addresses realistically, with a touch of humor and horror. The emotions that go hand in hand with each of his characters and objects are a fundamental axis in the concept of his work. In the nature of things, whether in their morphology or psychology, he has found the best ground to ground his technical and formal ideas and concerns. His painting depicts the figure, natural or inanimate, transformed or corrupted, whether by time, disease, neglect, abandonment, use, etc.
