César Saldívar

About the artist

He began his career in photography under the guise of exploring film, and today he is considered one of the most prominent photographers of his generation. He champions sensitivity and freedom as fundamental principles in his creative process, and his style reflects a profound honesty manifest in his analog and black and white works. His focus is primarily on the nude figure, always illuminated by natural light. He rejects the use of retouching, makeup, or any artifice, relying instead on shadows and light to sculpt beauty. His images, imbued with intense sensuality, challenge taboos and question moral restrictions he considers archaic. This direct and sincere treatment of the nude, far from being superficial, has allowed both celebrities and anonymous people to reveal their true colors before his lens.
