About the artist
David Meraz's painting and drawing arises under the premise of exploring ideas and images coming from the author's experience with a mental disorder and his consequent psychological and medical therapy. Taking the creation of drawings and paintings as personal tools, he investigates his imagination and key moments during his illness. Along with the progress in psychiatric sessions, drawing, painting and writing serve as another channel to resolve the obstacles of their disrupted reality and thereby achieve a healthy psyche and the strengthening of the self.
David Meraz was born in Monterrey, N. L. September 13, 1978.
