About the artist
My painting is born from a desire to explore emotional territories that often elude language. I'm interested in constructing images that speak in whispers, that don't impose themselves, but rather invite contemplation from an intimate, almost secret place. I paint to open cracks in the surface of the everyday, spaces where the viewer can recognize themselves, not explicitly, but like someone looking into a fogged-up mirror.
Melancholy is a constant presence in my work, not as nostalgia, but as a persistent feeling of emptiness, of suspension. I work with a restrained palette and forms that seem to float between the real and the imagined, seeking to provoke an ambiguous experience, in which the image is perceived more as an atmosphere than a scene. The pictorial thus becomes a space where the emotional takes shape, where the invisible leaves its mark.
My visual language is deliberately enigmatic. I want each piece to function as a threshold to the interior, a transition zone between the visible and the subconscious. Painting evokes more than it represents. It's an act of listening, a form of deep attention that captures fragments of the intangible: echoes, shadows, intuitions.
I work from a desire for silence. I'm interested in the unspoken, the barely hinted at. Each painting is an attempt to approach the intangible, an invitation to pause and inhabit a different, unhurried time, where the gaze doesn't consume, but lingers. My compositions seek to resonate beyond the frame, allowing the image to continue vibrating in the memory of the observer.
The work I pursue doesn't seek certainties, but rather questions. I move in that delicate space where the intimate and the unknown collide. Where looking at an image is also a way of looking within. In that intersection between the emotional and the atmospheric, I find fertile ground to continue questioning, to continue painting.
